Before your child starts at Manor Farm, we’ll arrange a series of settling-in sessions to make the transition smooth and reassuring.
These begin with sessions where one or both parents stay to meet our team and complete an “All About Me” form. This helps us understand your child’s likes, dislikes, routines, and any allergies, and note early developmental milestones such as physical progress (rolling, crawling, walking) and communication (babbling, first words, full sentences).
Later sessions include short, one-hour “stay and play” visits where your child spends time with us while you step away. This helps them learn that you’ll always come back and builds confidence as they get to know our caring team.
A bag with spare clothes (including socks), and, if your child is potty training, several changes of underwear.
Clearly labelled bottles of Calpol, Nurofen, and/or children’s Piriton (we do not supply these).
Formula or breast milk as needed. We can store both, including refrigerated or frozen breast milk, in labelled containers. Please also bring your own labelled bottles.
Outdoor shoes or wellies, and waterproofs, or suncream and a sunhat, depending on the weather.
Comfort items such as dummies, teddies, or safe sleeping bags.
Please ensure all items are clearly labelled, and note that personal toys, books, and belongings are best left at home.
