Welcome to The Manor Farm Nursery.

Lechlade’s most Popular Day Nursery and Holiday Club

About Us

The Manor Farm Nursery was bought in April 2016 by Josh and Kirsty, whose three children also attend the setting. Under the new ownership we have focused on improving the facilities in which the children have the opportunities to learn, within our safe contained boundaries on our large plot of farmland and within the purpose
built barn conversion.

We believe the quality of care for your children comes best through an experienced team of highly Qualified Early Years Practitioners, who are supported by a strong Management team and Trainees. All Staff hold a Paediatric First Aid Certificate, Safeguarding Training and have an enhanced DBS.

Why Choose Us?

– Experienced and Qualified Early Years Practitioners

– Offering Childcare from 3 months to Pre-School, open 7.30 am to 6 pm

– All staff are Safeguarding and Paediatric First Aid trained. Supporting SEN children and ongoing internal training.

– Our extensive land allows for plenty of time outside, where children learn well, including seeing our animals, growing plants, fruit & vegetables in the Garden, using our Craft room, sand pits, music station and kitchen for baking, as well as an introduction to French.

– Ofsted registered and insured Early Years provider

– Dedicated Chef who plans and provides healthy 3 week rolling good nutritional value menu, and can manage allergy or religious preferences

– Monthly payment plans calculate equal monthly fees, based on fees due after the relevant funding for your child and 10% Holiday allowance discount deducted (i.e. circa 5.2 weeks).  Meaning you’re not paying for non attendance on Bank Holidays or when you’re away on Holiday (within this holiday limit of course :)).

– Offering 15 hours universal government funded childcare hours (*nb: 38 weeks per year x 15 hours = 570 hours per year) for 3-4 year olds, and up to 30 hours enhanced funding for children over 9 months old (nb: 38 weeks per year = 30 x 38 = 1140 hours per year), for WORKING PARENTS, who meet the government eligibility criteria (apply or find out more at www.childcarechoices.gov.uk).  All funding is claimable the TERM AFTER the child turns 9 months, or if only claiming 15 hours then the Term after your child turns 3 years old.  2 year old funding and is also available for lower income families.  Spaces are agreed on a first come first served basis, irrelevant of funded or more private fee paying, and subsequently space may need to be secured earlier than your funded term to guarantee entry.  A waiting list is otherwise held if you are unsuccessful at first point of enquiry but we do encourage being on the waiting list and temporary arrangements put in place as usually we can get you a space in due to other families (mainly military) relocating.

– All childcare vouchers schemes and tax free childcare payments are accepted (criteria for TFC is the same as 30 hours, see www.childcarechoices.gov.uk, meaning 20% of your payable fees per year are covered as well)

– Good value chargeable fees are applied to non funded hours and for consumables (food, nappies and wipes), all calculated across the year to make your monthly fees the same.  Consumables, for example, are £7 – £9 per day.  For a full price list breakdown or to ask our monthly fee based on your required booking pattern, please email.

We Are Highly Experienced

With 37 Qualified Early Years Staff and our Managers who have over 30 years of childcare experience between them and all are mummies themselves, there’s no shortage of understanding for you as Parents or Guardians so we can meet your individual child’s needs. Our established team means we comfortably cover staff holidays, sickness and maternity leave with familiar faces and equally experienced staff.

Our dedicated Food and Hygiene Manager, Qualified Chef Jamie, cooks all our healthy lunches and tea. We are one of very few Childcare settings to qualify for a Committed Certificate with the
Early Years Nutritional Partnership, whereby meals are minimal in sugar or fat, and we have a milk and
water only policy.

We also work closely with our Early Years Local Authority Teams to regularly evaluate our practice and offer the best possible opportunities to part and full time children, including providing a Key Early Years Practitioner to observe and monitor your child’s progress, and asking for Early Help where appropriate, so your child is ready for School when
they leave Manor Farm.

We capture each child’s development on an online Learning Journal accessible to parents and guardians from home, where you can also add your own photos and activities.

All children are to do a minimum of two sessions per week, to support children settling and to track their progress effectively. we offer funding from the Term after children aged 9 months, up to 30 hours, for eligible parents. Full Terms and Conditions of how to secure a space on our waiting list and our Terms of Booking, including payment options can be confirmed on visiting the setting.

“Throughout the Nursery the Early Years Practitioners are clearly competent in their jobs, the children are engaged in fun activities which help them learn at every stage, they develop good manners”
