Government Funding

Many families seeking Early Years Education will be wishing to apply for the working parents’ funding.  You may be familiar with the terminology “30 hours funding”.  30 hours funding refers to the government paying for 30 hours per week, for the educational element of fees, but note this is for 38 weeks a year (1140 hours per year).  Reference may also be made to “from the age of 9 month”, but please note that funding is (1) only claimable if parent eligibility has been proven through the appropriate eligibility checker and verified by the government and (2) claimable the Term after your child turns 9 months old.

Holidays

One perk at Manor Farm is a holiday allowance discount.  Monthly invoices will automatically deduct a set holiday allowance deduction on fees due, in the form of 10% discount, which has been annualised by the system and then applied monthly.

Each month parents will receive a Holiday Request prompt to confirm if your child is off on Holiday or in all month during the upcoming month.  This is so we can arrange staff rotas.   Parents can book Holidays throughout the year in Term Time and non Term Time, and can book off more than 10% equivalent weeks across the year.

Full time sibling & staff discount

When a child is booked in to 5 days a week, this triggers a full week discount.  The full 5 day week Discount is £20.  Manor Farm offers a 5% sibling discount if you enroll three or more children with us that are Nursery & Pre School age, i.e. 4 years and younger (this discount does not apply to Holiday Club children), on all fees due.

Staff receive a 50% discount on all fees due.

Consumables

We charge a set fee per session for consumables (£4-£10), which includes all food (breakfast, two snacks, lunch and tea where applicable) plus nappies and wipes. While parents may opt out of consumables, we encourage families to use our provision as we believe it offers the best quality and consistency for your child.

All children receive nutritionally balanced meals and snacks, planned by our chef on a three-week rolling menu. This approach helps us manage allergens safely and ensures every child has access to healthy, varied food throughout the day.

why it matters

We believe children develop a love of new foods when eating with their peers. Mealtimes are also an opportunity to learn essential life skills, using cutlery, table manners, and social interaction – all part of our British Values framework and the EYFS Statutory Framework. We follow the latest Early Years Foundation Stage nutrition guidance (April 2025).

We use the same brand of nappies and wipes for all children to avoid storage issues and ensure consistency of care.

Your Options

Most families use the 30 hours government funding to cover three full-day sessions, which allows them to return to work while maintaining continuity for their child. This balance helps children feel familiar with our team and allows us to support their learning and development effectively.

Parents may opt out of the 07:30-08:00 slot and may choose to opt out of consumables. We also offer term-time-only spaces, though these are limited and usually only available in the final preschool years.

We encourage all parents to visit our setting to meet the team and see how children are thriving at Manor Farm.

Our fees are designed to be fair, flexible and easy to understand. For a detailed breakdown of how we calculate costs and what’s included, download our Pricing Explained 2025 document.
